Beyond Worship
1. Small Groups—We believe that members of Mt. Tabor UMC will be most fulfilled when they are taking part in a small group with others. We also believe that the Christian life was intended to be lived in community with other believers.
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
Acts 2:42
2. Spiritual Gifts—We believe that members of Mt. Tabor UMC will be happiest as they are sharing their gifts with others. We also believe that every Christian has received a spiritual gift from God.
Like good stewards of the varied grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.
I Peter 4:10
3. Servanthood—We believe that every member of Mt. Tabor UMC is called by God to serve in some specific way. We also believe that one of the ways we become more like Jesus Christ is through service.
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus...who emptied himself, taking the form of a servant.
Philippians 2: 5,7
If I, your Lord and teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have set an example for you, that you should do as I have done to you.
