February 12 - "Missing Person"

 

Scripture: 2 Peter 1:3-8 (The Message)

 

3-4Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God.  The best invitation we ever received!  We were also given absolutely terrific promises to pass on to you - your tickets to participation in the life of God after you turned your back on a life corrupted by lust.

5-9So don't lose a minute in building on what you've been given, complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding, alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and generous love, each dimension fitting into and developing the others.  With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet, no day will pass without its reward as you mature in your experience of our Master Jesus.  Without these qualities you can't see what's right before you , oblivious that your old sinful life has been wiped off the books.

February 19 - "Pruning Time"

Scripture: John 15:1-5(NLT)

 

 1"I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.  2He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit, and he prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.  3You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.  4Remain in me, and I will remain in you.  For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.\

5 Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches.  Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.  For apart from me you can do nothing."

February 26 - "Smile, God Loves You: Closer Than You Know"

Scripture: Romans 8:38-39(NLT)

 

 38And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love.  Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries for tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love.  39No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
