This ministry is not just about thimbles and needles. Every quilt we make is stitched with LOVE. We make quilts for newborns, nursing home residents, and high school graduates just to name a few.
More than 1,000 quilts have been donated to MTUMC homebound members, graduating seniors and new babies and hundreds of residents of area nursing homes. The group is making more than 1,000 quilts for the homebound who receive Meals on Wheels. We also take time to knit and crochet various things for newborns.
Novice and experienced sewers and knitters are invited to join us every second and fourth Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Youth Commons for a fun time of quilt making!
