Our Turn Now
For those of you who were able to be with us this past Sunday, thank you for committing your support for Our Turn Now. For those of you who prayed for 20 days using the Our Turn 20 Day Devotional, thank you for your prayers.
We have received 206 cards pledging support for the building project. We now have commitments for $2,749,164 toward our goal of $4 million.
We anticipate that we will receive pledges of support from more than 300 individuals or families and we are anxious to achieve our goal so we can proceed with the project. We need you to support this plan as generously as you are able. We are grateful for every gift of any size and are reminded by the “widow’s mite” story and bookmark memento that God will honor generous hearts.
For this exciting plan to become reality, we need folks who God has blessed with assets to prayerfully reflect on the impact a sacrificial gift for this project will have for our church family and community for many years to come. Through Sunday, we have received 45 cards for pledged support of $20,000 or more. Most of the larger gifts have been planned to be given over four years – part this year before September 1 and the balance over 2015, 2016, and 2017. This approach has enabled folks to make a larger pledge than they would have in just one year.
If you have not returned a pledge card, please pray hard this week about how much you will invest in your church home. This needs to be a sacrificial gift over and above your annual support for the church.
Don’t miss out on being part of this historic development at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church. Commitment cards are available at the church office and should be returned to our Financial Administrator, Cathy Culver. If you want to discuss a larger gift, or discuss the naming opportunities, please call me or Pastor Mark.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration for being part of Our Turn Now.
