God is doing something new – for us, in us, among us, and through us – this Advent season. Even through all the interruptions and disruptions of the last few years, we remember that God is still creating and re-creating, still moving and working, still inviting us to new life through His Son, Jesus.
Nothing can interrupt or disrupt His plan for our salvation that burst forth with new life in a manger in Bethlehem, all those years ago. We celebrate that a new revelation of God was born: Immanuel, God-With-Us. The Spiritual Growth Team invites you to join in this booklet of daily devotions, and reflect on God’s promise throughout scripture that He is doing “Something New.”
Our team has designed this Advent booklet to focus on:
God’s permanence and stability that we can depend on.
God’s newness and change that brings a fresh start to life
We invite you to find a quiet place alone or with others each day during Advent. Breathe deeply and release your to-do list and anxieties. Ask God to open your heart to His Word. Read the selection for the day, answer the questions, and pray the prayer provided or offer one of your own.
Experience how God’s great renewal plan has unfolded across history and how God desires to give new life to you. Respond to His invitation to accept the gift of new life in a weary world.
May fresh excitement and joy bubble up in you this Advent!
