Events & Mid-Week Programming

This Summer, Mount Tabor is taking a ROAD TRIP through the SCRIPTURES!

TaborKIDS, you are invited to pack your Bible and a special map to travel through the life of Jesus as told in the Gospel of Mark. Each week, you’ll reach the next destination by reading a selection from your Bible. And what fun would a road trip be without some quick detours for your family (WONDERfilled Wednesdays 8/4) and some PITSTOPS just for you? Make sure to pick up a road map for the summer today!

More information on summer activities are below.

It’s hard to believe that it’s almost time to head back to school!  We spend time picking out school supplies and labeling them with our names.  On the first day of school, we’re nervous when a teacher calls our name – will they say it correctly?  Will they call us by our full name and not our nickname?  And before school even starts, we wonder will anyone know our name?  We let our anxiety build and our nervousness take hold.  But in Isaiah 43:1, God says “fear not, for I have redeemed you and called you by name.  You are mine.”   As we face new things, it’s normal to be a little anxious but we need to remember to not be afraid.  God knows our name and we belong to him.  We can have confidence that we belong to him and he is with us.  On August 22, in all worship services, we will offer a back to school blessing and a small gift to remind us to fear not for he knows your name.

We hope you will join us.
