Traditional Worship Service
We are blessed at Mount Tabor to offer a variety of worship services.
We encourage you to attend each service at least once or twice to better determine which service best meets your worship needs.
Sunday mornings at 9 AM
The venue for traditional worship is the light-filled sanctuary of Mount Tabor UMC. Worship involves the spoken words of the ancient creeds and holy scriptures, as well as congregational hymns from Martin Luther to Duke Ellington accompanied by the Cassavant pipe organ or grand piano. Children, youth and adults participate in volunteer choral and handbell ensembles, as well as liturgical movement, instrumental opportunities and visual arts. Lay persons are also involved in serving the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
