Communications Director
Mount Tabor United Methodist Church is hiring a Communications Director. The Communications Director will lead in setting the direction as well as the strategic implementation of all internal and external communications for all Mount Tabor UMC ministries to consistently articulate, enable and fulfill church’s mission and vision. This individual will be a creative, innovative, strategic thinker and a results-driven team leader and administrator. This position will report directly to the Senior Pastor.

Student Ministries Summer Internship
The student ministries summer internship program is a full-time (average 30 hours), paid summer internship that enables individuals that may be discerning a call to future ministry within the church, either vocationally or as a volunteer, to gain valuable experience. The intern will report directly to the Director of Student and Family Ministries and should expect to work flexible hours each week, thus enabling them to receive a wide range of ministry experiences including missions, teaching, small groups, relationship building and more. The intern will work directly with students ranging from 5th - 12th grade.
The program does not supply housing or a housing allowance, however the applicant should reside in the Winston-Salem area during the internship.
The salary for the summer is $2,500 and dates are Sunday, May 16th, 2021- Thursday, August 12th, 2021, with one week of unpaid vacation to be approved by the Director of Student Ministries. The application and job expectations are available below.

Children & Family Ministries Summer Internship
The Children & Family Ministries Summer Internship program is a full time (average 30 hours/week), paid summer internship that enables individuals that may be discerning a call to future ministry within the church, either vocationally or as a volunteer, to gain valuable experience. The intern will report directly to the Director of Children & Family Ministries (or the Associate Director of Children & Family Ministries in their absence) and should expect to work flexible hours each week, thus enabling them to receive a wide range of ministry experiences including missions, teaching, small groups, relationship building and more. The intern will work directly with children ranging from Infants - 6th grade.
Housing: Applicant is required to secure their own housing in Winston-Salem for the duration of the internship. The program does not supply housing or a housing allowance.
Salary: The salary for the summer is $2,500.
Desired Internship Range: Monday, May 17, 2021 - Friday, August 13, 2021
(12 Weeks + 1 Week of unpaid vacation; start date subject to hire date)
Other: If selected for the internship, you will be required to submit to a drug screening, as well as a national criminal and sexual offender background check. Internship Applicant MUST be at least 1 full year out of high school.
