Mount Tabor United Methodist Church Afterschool Care Program has been serving the community since 1984. With a highly trained and educated staff, we provide afterschool care Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 PM for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th Grade.

Our program serves Zone 5 Schools (including Jefferson Elementary, Sherwood Elementary, Speas Elementary and Vienna Elementary). Students are transported on a WS/FCS school bus to the program.

The purpose of the Mount Tabor UMC Afterschool Care Program is to provide:

  • a faith based, affordable, quality after school care that teaches the power of God's love for kindergarten through middle school aged children

  • an enhanced after school experience through devotions and Bible studies that will help a child grow spiritually and in their faith

  • activity-based learning that reinforces knowledge and skills needed for school as well as in life resulting in a child's success

  • a loving and nurturing environment that helps each child develop a sense of self-esteem, self-confidence, self-worth, and self-respect

We Offer

  • small teacher/student ratios

  • themed classrooms

  • daily devotions

  • healthy snacks

  • time for homework

  • faithful fitness
